Customer Service Advisor, Hertfordshire
£28,000 plus benefits
JCC Recruitment is pleased to be supporting this well-established property organisation which is looking to recruit a customer service agent to join their very busy team.
Based onsite at their Hertfordshire HQ, you will form part of a 35-person function where you will take responsibility for monetary collections from customers. The customer base is relatively diverse, each with the likelihood of presenting different challenges to the last, for you so variety will keep your role interesting and exciting.
You will require excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and understand the importance of adapting your approach, tone, empathy and understanding towards each situation. You will use these skills and flexibility to help you to resolve issues when needed.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Collection of payments (cheques/BACS)
- Communicating with customers both by telephone and email
- Professionally and respectfully diffusing any escalating issues
- Speaking with external 3rd party businesses, including mortgage providers and solicitors
- Preparing conveyancing documents for rent payments
- Meeting set KPIs and maintaining highest level of customer excellence
To be considered for this role, you MUST:
- Have previous experience in a commercial, multi-channel customer service environment
- Possess the ability to work well as part of a busy, target driven team
- Be able to look at problems objectively and resolve them in a professional and timely manner
- Have outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Have the ability to learn fast and ‘think on your feet’
- Possess a high level of empathy, understanding, tolerance and resilience in what can be challenging situations
- Previous property management and/or collections experience would be desirable but not essential
